An internship is an essential part of the IT Job Placement Program. After your four months of in-class study we will send you to work as an intern at a company. The internship is designed to help you gain Canadian experience and a Canadian cultural reference, as well as to test the knowledge and skills you gained during your IT training and the Gateways Job Placement Program. Internships will be based upon each applicant’s qualifications and each company's preference. Most internships will consist of volunteer work for 8 to 12 weeks. Many internship partner companies offer to keep interns as permanent staff, though this is not a guarantee of the program. Internships are currently available in the following fields:
